For the longest time I have been hoping to go in Laurie’s canoe. And finally on monday it happened! It was the nicest sunny day and Laurie phoned to see if we wanted to go up while he was on lunch. So we did.

We had the weirdest lunch of crumpets, hot dogs and pizza.

And then I got to go in the kayak.

Setting Off –Feeling Rather Wobbly

Friday Island

This is really one of my favourite places. It is so pretty.

Kayak

Lexie wanted to join in.

Oscar actually fell in. His head went right under and Laurie had to pull him out by his collar. He was okay though, and hasn’t been put off. I think he’s had to get used to falling in living there. He just gets so excited when Lexie goes swimming.

Oscar Swimming, Not Falling

He looks like a little otter.

All Three –Moss, Lexie and Oscar

When we walked around the island Ryan found Lexie the most ridiculous stick. I was not best pleased as I seemed to be the only one getting knocked with it.

Ridiculous. Really, it was bigger than her!

It was a lovely day. Ryan even got to go blackberrying.

And then as we drove out of the island we got to see the lol that is this:

Chainsaw

Haha. Sorry Laurie!

Love It.

I had the best day yesterday. It started with some blackberrying with my mum as we walked the dogs. Delish.

And then Mel and Jamie came over for a joyous bike ride (despite what you might hear from Jamie –it was not death). We stopped for tasty ice cream, Jamie cycled ahead and me and Mel hid –so many lols, then we had a rest at Neighbridge before the tiring cycle back. Overall we did over 9 miles – which we thought was quite impressive for the first cycle of the summer.
Sun + Bikes + Friends = Fun

We then headed to Swindon for pizza express where we had a riot but did not see any riots, despite all the crazy rumours. And then we dropped Mel off before me and Jamie headed to see Bridesmaids. Oh so funny –I laughed so hard I thought I might be sick. “Stove?!”. Funniest film in ages, perhaps since the 1st hangover! I need to watch it again to see all the funny bits I missed because I was already laughing so hard.
I wish all days were like this one.
