Monday was my birthday.
And my Dad’s birthday.
And Easter Monday
It was fun :).
Birthday People
I got a new camera for my birthday so have been pretty snap happy ever since :). It was from my parents and is super cute and small –it’s the size of a stack of credit cards.
This one got me the most amazing birthday present ever!!!
We’re going on holiday! Yayyy! I am so spoilt! Best bf ever xxxxxxxx
It’s not booked yet but it’s going to be sunny and sandy and swimmy!!
I can not wait! The plan is to go as soon as I’m back from Edinburgh. It’s so nice to have something to look forward to now!
Birthday Cake
I actually had a major disaster with the birthday cake. Mum had made me a delicious looking cheesecake and once it had cooled I went to get it out the fridge to take the baking paper off…
But I dropped it!!
The cake tin it was baked in had a loose bottom and I managed to completely flip it when I picked it up.
Total disaster!!!
Mum had to run over with a tray to catch the pudding of mess from my hands. I was super sad :(. We put the remnants in a bowl and Mum had the amazing idea of topping it with meringue.
It wasn’t the cake we planned but it was still super delicious…and we covered it in strawberries to hide the mess.
Amazing Sparkly Nail Varnish from Mel x
My birthday day was spent at home with some family, friends and nibbles. Then in the evening Ryan, Mel, Jamie and I went to The Spice Merchant’s for dinner.
Mel Drove
Ryan had the Fear
But We Were Going Extremely Fast
The Spice Merchants was super tasty as always.
There Were Even Party Hats
My Delicious Meal
Birthdays really are my favourite days :D.
It was really nice to be home this year instead of on the other side of the world. Especially as I have the same birthday is my Dad, It was weird being away from him last year.
22 Now!
I’m over the hill ;)

January 10, 2012
Just a little late.
For New year Ryan, Mel, Boz and I went to Edinburgh for a ‘short break’ and had a lovely time. Tess and Ollie came up for new year too :).
We played Rapidough. I was super excited about Rapidough and filled my entire hand luggage with it and no room for anything else. I think it was worth it though. If you don’t know what it is, it’s basically Pictionary but instead of drawing you model playdough. Ended up saying some ridiculous things though. I thought Ryan was making a “hand mushroom” which really turned out to be a palm tree. Fail.
We went to the Edinburgh dungeons. Actually amazing, so much fun! I came out with a sore throat I was screaming so much! Ryan was a terror though trying to freak everyone out in the dark.
On the 30th we went to the Torch lit Parade. It was spectacular (which isn’t a word I ever use but it seems appropriate). Thousands of people walked down the mound, along Princes Street and up Calton Hill carrying flame torches. There were so many people, it looked absolutely amazing! And I’m sure everyone has always wanted to have a flame lit torch. No idea how health and safety ever let it go ahead though. I think if it happened anywhere else it could easily end up in riots. It concluded with the son et lumiere fireworks. At the top of Calton Hill we were surrounded by fireworks as they were going off from all of the monuments. Mel even thought they were the best fireworks she’d ever seen! This was definitely one of the highlights of Hogmanay!
New Year’s Eve was super exciting because Ryan bought me a dress to wear and surprised me with it! It came in a sparkly box and everything. He chose really well too (although I think he had help from a few elves). I am super lucky.
We spent New Year’s eve playing Rapidough whilst drinking £1.99 sparkly chaumet from lidl. Pretty much champagne :D. We then headed down the street to watch the fireworks at the castle. Which were obviously amazing.
We then headed to Hive to party the night away and fun was had by all.
My amazing New Dress
Good times :)
New Year’s Day was spent having a pub lunch and watching Harry Potter. What more could you need?
Happy New Year!

You are my absolute fave and my very bestest friend.
I have the strangest gift for you.
It’s a free crappy portrait from www.freecrappyportraits.com.
I sent them this photo:
And I told them this:
“Please will you do a crappy portrait of me and my best friend Mel. It is her 22nd birthday on the 22nd November so I thought it might be nice to get one for her!
The picture I have attached is us after stealing the balloons from her graduation. She is a cheerleader and I like to do jazz and tap dance. We like cocktails and holidays and Disneyland. We have been friends since Class 3 in primary school and she is the bestest friend I could ever have. Sometimes we tell people we're cousins and they believe us because they think we are the same.”
And then they sent me this:
It really is crappy! It definitely does not look like us and I’m really not sure why we’re ginger! I do like the Disney hats though.
Happy Birthday Mel
I hope you like your crappy portrait :) xxxx
We should probably buy some hats and recreate this picture (without the brown eyes and ginger hair)
Also they said they would put it up on their website today so you should probably have a look.
LOVE YOU!!!
