Monday was my birthday.
And my Dad’s birthday.
And Easter Monday
It was fun :).
Birthday People
I got a new camera for my birthday so have been pretty snap happy ever since :). It was from my parents and is super cute and small –it’s the size of a stack of credit cards.
This one got me the most amazing birthday present ever!!!
We’re going on holiday! Yayyy! I am so spoilt! Best bf ever xxxxxxxx
It’s not booked yet but it’s going to be sunny and sandy and swimmy!!
I can not wait! The plan is to go as soon as I’m back from Edinburgh. It’s so nice to have something to look forward to now!
Birthday Cake
I actually had a major disaster with the birthday cake. Mum had made me a delicious looking cheesecake and once it had cooled I went to get it out the fridge to take the baking paper off…
But I dropped it!!
The cake tin it was baked in had a loose bottom and I managed to completely flip it when I picked it up.
Total disaster!!!
Mum had to run over with a tray to catch the pudding of mess from my hands. I was super sad :(. We put the remnants in a bowl and Mum had the amazing idea of topping it with meringue.
It wasn’t the cake we planned but it was still super delicious…and we covered it in strawberries to hide the mess.
Amazing Sparkly Nail Varnish from Mel x
My birthday day was spent at home with some family, friends and nibbles. Then in the evening Ryan, Mel, Jamie and I went to The Spice Merchant’s for dinner.

Ryan had the Fear
But We Were Going Extremely Fast
The Spice Merchants was super tasty as always.

My Delicious Meal
Birthdays really are my favourite days :D.
It was really nice to be home this year instead of on the other side of the world. Especially as I have the same birthday is my Dad, It was weird being away from him last year.
22 Now!
I’m over the hill ;)

I’ve been having quite a Christmassy weekend. On Friday we went to Audrey’s to make a gingerbread house. It’s amazing.
We used the BBC Good Food recipe.
I love it. It was too pretty to eat though so we haven’t actually had any. We did eat some of the leftovers though and they were tasty :).
We got a little impatient with waiting for all the icing to set though so ended up having a first failed attempt at putting the roof on. It all worked out in the end though :). We just had to watch a little Children in Need first.
I’ve also been wrapping presents this weekend.
And then I made them into a display to make my room Christmassy…
I feel like I have to get Christmassy now or I’ll miss out on it in the panic of exams.
And as my last Christmas looked like this…
…I kind of feel like I haven’t had a proper Christmas in 2 years.
So I’m making the most of it!

The Post Office have been ridiculous though and didn’t give me a redelivery note so I started to panic that they were lost, but really they were waiting at the Post Office.

Yesterday I had the loveliest day.
Ryan has been up since last week but I’ve been super busy with work so we haven’t got to do anything that exciting.
But he’s going on Monday so I put off my work yesterday.
We started the morning by heading to the farmer’s market for breakfast.
Ryan had a doughnut and I had the hugest, tastiest danish.
So pleased :)
Then we headed to town and actually bought some Christmas presents. Super organised, Ryan was feeling pretty shocked by it.
Edinburgh Castle
It was actually a really nice day –super cold though.
We then had an amazing lunch at wagamamas. It was so ridiculously delicious.
Wagamamas is new here. It’s only been open 5 days so we had to cue for a table. It was definitely worth it though.
Nom nom nom
We spent the afternoon watching bridesmaids then headed to Meadowbank for the fireworks.
They were amazing –I have literally never been to such a long display. Even longer then NYE in Sydney. It was like 25mins of fireworks. And they set it to music, opening with Doctor Who :D. And I’m pretty sure that there was some Disney in there too.
It was magical!
I don’t have any pictures because I was pretty mesmerised and they wouldn’t have turned out too well anyway. It really was amazing though. I wish I could go again.
We ended the night wandering back through town and sharing some fish and chips.
Such a nice day.
