This just makes me want to go out and do things.

How to live before you die.

Steve Jobs –What an inspiration.

I’ve got a job.

Starts on the 1st August.

I’m going to have to be a proper adult and I am scared! The thought of having to go to work every day is just not attractive. Mel thinks I’m going to become a ‘Weekend Warrior’. I think she is right.

The job is an Account Executive in a Medical Communications company in a tiny town near Reading. It should be a really good opportunity for me, but I do have to move to Reading.

I’ve found a house though, with a lovely but tiny attic room for me. I’m excited that I get my own floor of the house, even if it is too small for a wardrobe. I always love rooms with eaves so I’m happy.

I can’t move in until the 12th though which is a little inconvenient. I’m going to be commuting from home for a week and a half but that’s not so long.

I’m quite excited, but scared of being a proper adult. Looking forward to having a wage so much though. I want to take up a crazy hobby like aerial or caving. And go on millions of mini-breaks and holidays. I really want to go on a big trip to South East Asia around November time…can’t decide where to though…but I think it will be Amazing.

So, I graduated.

Got a First :D.

Got to wear a fluffy gown!

I think I should be feeling much more grown up now.

When I started uni I thought the fourth years were so old –now I don’t feel at all old!

I’m living at home again and mostly spending my time following my mum around.

But I’m hopeful of getting a job.

I’ve actually decided the area I want to go into now at least!

It’s medical communications if you’re interested. Hopefully healthcare advertising as that seems the most fun.

But getting a job is such a long process! I’ll have to do a minimum of 2 interviews before I get anywhere :s. It’s all a bit worrying.

But I have at least spent my time being unemployed fairly well –I’ve finally read the Hunger Games and Fifty Shades of Grey.

That was fun.

I handed my dissertation in on Thursday!

I am so happy; it had been following me around for far too long…

I feel so free right now, nothing is taking over my life and I can actually do fun things without feeling guilty.

Today I plan on doing absolutely nothing of importance :D.

wordle

This is what my dissertation was about…

Malaria Vaccines; The answer we’ve been waiting for??

That was the title.

The answer is basically….we’re going to have to wait a long time.

There’s my dissertation in 1 sentence right there. Wah, why did I do all the rest?

I only have 1 exam left now, on the 14th of May.

Then I graduate, and real life starts…

but all I want to do is to go travelling again…

but to have money to do so.

Real jobs scare me!

I have a place on a masters in Bristol doing Science Communication.

But it’s £5000, which is so many more pounds than I have. I’m not sure if I’ll even be able to afford to do it this year.

It’s so strange not having a plan. Life has been so structured up until now. It scares me.

Anyway, I’ve got lots of nothing to go and do…

The most exciting place I’m going anytime soon is Glasgow. Although I am quite excited as I am going on an actual ‘work trip’ to meet my new boss for the internship. It makes me feel important. Also I can go Christmas shopping there :D

It’s not all bad

I’ve got an internship with The Stroke Association!

They phoned me today to let me know. I am super excited and so pleased. I thought I came across as annoying at the interview but I guess it must have been okay. They offered me the job at least.

My official title is Project Development Intern.

I’m going to be working on the Scottish Stroke Knowledge into Practise Community. I’m not too sure what this involves yet. But it’s going to be really good experience, especially if I decide to go into health promotion/ third sector work!

:D:D:D

And it’s paid. So that will be nice.
